Write on PDF: All You Need to Know

The problem is that \LaTeX isn’t designed for writing material. When I'm writing my math textbooks, I don’t need \LaTeX— there is software for all that. While people with a lot of experience using \LaTeX can produce beautiful typesetting and output with relatively little (if any) effort, most students simply aren’t going to do it. The math classes at the University at Buffalo are quite good, and there are more people taking them than ever, but they are not being taught how to write math. I'm not going to say that people don't learn how to write in math, but I do believe that we need to get students up to speed on how to create complex mathematical ideas using mathematics. That way, when they finally get to the point where they do have to write material, it will be perfectly readable and well-organized. I'm not going to do.
